Corn Bags

Materials
1  Bag of field corn (can be bought at any feed store) This is a non popping corn.
4   Yards of ticking (May be a little more or less)
5    Yards of cotton for covers (any color, may be more or less)

 Sizes to cut ticking
7” X 19 ½ “ for large bag
7” X 9 ½ “ for small bag

 Corn
5 ½ Cups (large bag)
2 Cups (small bag)
Measure corn and put in strainer and shake; then put in bag.

 Sewing Instructions
Cut ticking on fold (use long side). Sew two sides leave one short side open, then turn inside out with right side out. After putting corn in fold open end in and sew close. 

Sizes to cut cotton covers material
7 ½ “ X 21” (large bag)
7 ½ “ X 11” (small bag) 

Sewing Instructions
Cut cotton material on fold (use long side). Sew hem on one end. Fold with wrong side out and sew two sides, down long and across bottom. Turn inside out with right side out.

 You should be able to make 16 or 17 sets from one bag of corn.

 How to Use
These can be used hot or cold by freezing or heating in microwave. 

3 minutes in microwave (large bag)           
1 ½ minutes microwave (small bag)
If reheating, do not use the full amount of time

These are used for moist heat and they are great for any kind of pain or discomfort and can also be used for bed warmers.
