Pennies For Friendship

“Pennies for Friendship” is a voluntary fund began in 1930. Funds are used to run the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW), an international organization. Funds come from members around the world.

The funds have many uses. Some of them are as follows:

  • Finances the Triennial Conference
    Runs the ACWW Central Office
  • Finds pen pals for members and provides an introduction
  • Links instructions and groups in different countries
  • Arranges exchange programs between groups in different countries
  • Publishes the ACWW quarterly magazine, The Countrywoman
  • Sends representatives of Country Women of the World to meetings of the United Nations
  • Administers Lady Aberdeen Scholarship projects
  • Extends the work of the ACWW through the travels of their President, Deputy Presidents, Area Vice Presidents, and appointed Field Organizers

Give your donations to your County Council Treasurer, who will submit the money with your county dues to the State Treasurer.
