How to Do Creative Gift Wrapping

Joyce Whittington, FCS agent in Crawford County will teach this class. The class will show new ways and tips for gift-wrapping. Since most stores do not wrap gifts, and since those that do charge a large sum, this class is a practical class for today's consumer.

How to Make a Tag Rug

White County FCS Agent, Nancy Harrison gives step-by-step directions for making an attractive fabric rug from soft fabrics. This was a winning exhibit in the White County Fair and a very eye catching exhibit.

How to Complete an Emergency Pantry

Cheryl Maxwell, FCS agent in Hot Spring County will teach this class. In today’s uncertain environment, this information could be a good insurance against a weather disaster, or other unforeseen emergencies.

How to Make Fabric Accessories

Evelyn Goode, Instructor at Henderson State University - Family and Consumer Science Department in Arkadelphia will teach this class. Evelyn is truly a professional in the area of clothing; she will show simple ways to make attractive accessories for clothing. Do you want to make an accessory during class? You must have your county agent to contact Kris Elliott, FCS agent Clark County, via email and bring $2.00 with you to the class.

How to Organize Your Personal Files

Laura Connerly, Family Resource Management Specialist, will teach this class. Everyone needs to be organized, especially as the aging process starts. Laura will give information on how organized and avoid unnecessary stress from disorganization.

How to Conduct Strong Women in Your Community

Lisa Gilmore, FCS Agent Garland County, and Eadie Toney from Searcy County will teach this class. Eadie has succeeded in conducting this program in her local area. Eadie will give tips for getting a group organized and pitfalls to avoid.

How to Make U-neekly Recycled Items from Old Belts

The class will be taught by Twyla Land from White County. Twyla will show step by step how to take old belts and make beautiful picture frames. Twyla's EH club won first place at the White County fair with an educational exhibit on this topic.

How To Be Safe at Home and When You Travel

Major Stanley Evans with Homeland Security will teach this class. Major Evans will give precautions regarding home safety and precautions when you travel by air, car or other means of travel.

How to Take Care of Jewelry and Gems

The class will be taught by a representative from Luray Jewelry in Hot Springs, AR. Tips will be given on cleaning jewelry, safety when you leave jewelry at home and other tips for closures on jewelry to prevent loss.

How to Use State Parks and Recreation Areas

A representative from Arkansas Parks and Recreation Department will teach this class. The Representative will provide information about ways to access parks, permits, and tips on family use of parks to save money on vacations.
