The National
Volunteer Outreach Network (NVON) is composed of several organizations,
representing 118,000 members. These organizations are: Arkansas
Extension Homemakers Council, Inc., Illinois Association for Home
and Community Education, Indiana Extension Homemakers Association,
Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association, South Carolina Family
Community Leaders, West Virginia Extension Homemakers, and Wisconsin
Association for Home and Community Education.
Country Women's Council (CWC) U.S.A. is a liaison council
composed of ACWW Member Societies in the U.S.A. It meets annually to
promote the work of ACWW. The purpose of CWC is to meet for
discussion and consultation on matters pertaining to ACWW and to
stimulate interest in ACWW among country women and homemakers.
Associated
Country Women of the World (ACWW), which is the largest
international organization of rural women and homemakers, acts to
reduce poverty through self-help schemes. Membership consists of
over 500 women’s societies in more than 70 countries, with over 9
million members being represented.
